SPEAKER: MIKE McDONOUGH, GOVERNOR OF THE WILLOW GROVE MOOSE LODGE Today we welcome Mike to tell us a little about the work of the Moose Loge in Willow Grove.
The Moose Organization is a fraternal organization that works both within their communities and
internationally. They have 2 major charities" : 1. Supporting Mooseheart Child City & School , a 1,000-acre
campus, located 40 miles west of Chicago http://www.mooseheart.org/ and 2. Moosehaven, an active
retirement community in Florida for members who have had at least 15 years in the organization.
Additionally, they have a program called "Tommy Moose", which aids in helping children overcome fears and anxiety during times of stress. Donated to Law Enforcement, Fire, and other Emergency workers, Tommy Moose plush dolls are presented to children in various traumatic situations.
