Student Scholarship Committee Chair Jonathan Riches introduced the 2015-2016 Hatboro Rotary Scholarship recipients and their families.
Sean Rich  Will be using his scholarship to help pay for his education at Penn State. Main Campus, Schreyer Honors College, where he will be pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering, followed by a masters degree. Sean was accompanied by his  mother Brenda Rich.
Brendan O'Donnell  Is currently studying 3 different styles of martial arts at three different clubs...kung-fu, taekwondo, and karate. Brendan plans on using his scholarship to help pay for a Business Administration Degree at Montgomery County Community College.  His long term goal is to be able to run his own Martial arts club. Brendan was accompanied by his parents Jimmy and Crystal Buckley.

The Student Scholarship Fund is funded from Hatboro Rotary's Scholarship endowment ,an ongoing club contribution and proceeds from the clubs weekly 50/50. Each year two students are awarded scholarships. One goes to a Hatboro Horsham Student and one to a student who attends Eastern Center for Technology.  The total amount awarded this year was $6500. After the students had spoken, President Elect Gary chamberlain presented Jonathan Riches with th club's contribution of $5000 for the scholarship fund. Students are considered for their academic achievement, leadership, service and need. The monies they receive is spread over their years at college.
